Exigence

The last time an exigence made me do something was my first night out in Mankato. We were with a group of people and this one girl was really drunk and acting out of control. She was really obnoxious and people were staring at our group of people. I was very upset with the girl so I felt like I had to do something. So I started to tell her how I felt and that she should keep it in control or that she should leave and go back to her dorm. Eventually she began to understand why I was upset for her embarrassing behavior. She tried to keep it under control and stopped acting so loud and out of hand.

First Day of College

So far my first day of college has been great.This morning I woke up and met my friend Alisa to walk to Math class together. We ended up being a half an hour early and the first ones there. The teacher was still teaching her 8 am class. We decided to wait on the bench and talk until 9 am. Our teacher seems very nice. She has a "high school" teacher teaching style, which might be good in transitioning into a college math course. Especially for me, being so "mathematically challenged." College is basically what I had expected. To me it feels just like being in high school, but living there. It's nice to be able to choose our schedule and have more flexible days than the structured schedule of a high school student. After math my friend and I walked back to our dorms and relaxed. Around noon I met my boyfriend and his friends for lunch in the Cafe. They definitely win the award for best food...Not! I really don't like the food there. I end up wasting a meal every time I go because I barely eat anything. Oh well...Hopefully my flex dollars convert soon so that we can eat in the CSU. I'm getting a little sick of the high school cafeteria food all over again. Hopefully that aspect of college will get better soon. Other than getting up early and not having the best food, college is awesome so far!
